Biography Since 1986, John Florian Koncar has designed award-winning interiors for people who seek individuality in their homes. He and his staff work from a sprawling mid-century ranch house in Cleveland's eastern suburbs, but he has completed design projects in Chicago, Cape Cod, Washington, New York, Princeton and both Florida coasts. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP), his education includes apprenticeship in the world renowned Chicago office of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, the custom cabinetry and upholstery workrooms of Holzheimer Interiors and numerous construction sites. This broad knowledge base distinguishes him among his peers. He has been referred to as a "designer's designer". John Koncar's interior design work has appeared in HGTV's Homes Across America, Interior Design Magazine, Fine Furniture International, Met Home, Northern Ohio Live, Cleveland Magazine, Crain's Cleveland Business and The Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Philosophy Whether modern or traditional, the consistent virtues of a John Florian Koncar-designed interior are confidence, classicism, and elegance; but foremost, comfort. Each interior is artfully crafted to compliment the building's exterior, and the personalities of its owners. The Koncar interior showcases the designer's talent for custom architectural detailing, the planning of kitchens and bathrooms and custom cabinetry design.
